We welcome people from all cultures!

Hope Christian Church Melbourne aims to establish a culturally safe environment in which the diverse experiences of Aboriginal children and young people and those from other cultures are respected and valued. We believe every person is created equally and is precious in God’s eyes (Psalm 139:13-14). Equity is upheld and diverse needs are respected in our policy and practice.

Child safety and wellbeing is embedded in our leadership, governance and culture. We promote safety for all our physical and online environment. Implementation of the ChildSafe Standards is regularly reviewed and improved.

Children and young people are empowered about their rights, they participate in decisions affecting them and are being taken seriously. We involve and inform families in promoting child safety and wellbeing.

All our Staff and Volunteers who are working with children and young people are suitable and supported to reflect child safety and wellbeing values in practice. They are equipped with the knowledge, skills and awareness to keep children and young people, from diverse background and abilities, safe through ongoing education and training.
